Quite the Visionary

I have a love for reading especially self help and self awareness books. Being a firm believer in the only person that you can change is yourself, I like most am my own biggest critic. A couple years ago I was reading a issue of mother "O" (Oprah) magazine and there was a article about vision boards and vision board parties. Reading the word party I was immediately hooked by that awesome word party and who couldn't use yet another reason to throw one. According to this article I could get a group of good girlfriends together with a nice bottle of wine, a stack of old magazines, poster boards, scissors, glue and cut out a series of words, phrases and pictures that stated or described my goals and create something called a vision board. By looking at this board daily and putting forth effort, I could turn each word, phrase or picture into a reality. That is the day I began my love affair with vision boards.

I do want to remind you that a dream or a goal without any action or effort remains just a goal or dream. No matter how many vision boards you make if you do not put any action behind the goals you wish to accomplish it simply won't happen so without rambling any further let's get into this 2015 vision board.

Materials Needed:

A couple of old magazines that you don't being destroyed
A poster board of desired size
Scissors
Glue
2-3 hours of free time

My tips to creating a damn good vision board

1. Create doable and attainable goals. (You have to be real with yourself and the process)

2. Cut out words, pictures, and phrases that immediately stand out to you

3. Location, Location, Location (You want to place your vision board in a place where it can easily be seen throughout the day

4. Affirm (The words on your vision board should be positive and powerful remember there is power in words)
